Fishing on Tara

General information:
Tara, known as the `Tear of Europe` for its extremely clean water, is rich with Salmonidae fish. Fishing is best within the area of The National park Durmitor and the Tara River canyon which is the second deepest canyon in the world (the highest point of the canyon is 1300 m). In combination with wild, untouched nature and beautiful beaches, fishing in Montenegro is a beautiful adventure.
Fishing on Tara is allowed only with artificial baits.
The most common types of fish are:
Stream trout – approximate weight 0.5-5 kg; maximum 10 kg;
Huchen-15-20 kg; maximum 40 kg;
Grayling- 0.3-2 kg;
Fishing on the Tara is performed in three areas:
Arrangement No1.
Destination Kolašin, down the stream of the river Tara, 6 km long.
The principle method is fly fishing;
Fishing is allowed from 1st April to 15th January,  three hours a day, time schedule is arranged with the guide and forest service;
The meeting place is in office of our Explorer agency which is situated near the spot where we’ll begin fishing(100 m). Visitors will receive an introduction to the tour (breed of fish, one day fishing permit, fishing equipment).
Fishing on Tara is allowed only with artificial baits.

Stream trout – approximate weight 0.5-5 kg; maximum 10 kg;
Huchen-15-20 kg; maximum 40 kg;
Grayling- 0.3-2 kg;
We guarantee a good catch. This area is known for an abundance of fish.

Breakfast and lunch with home made national dishes are served on the coast of the river.
Arrangement No2
Fishing outside of the forbidden fishing area, Kolašin-Mojkovac, 30 km
Fishing is allowed during the whole year between 05-21 h. The maximum number of fish is 5 per peson.
The most common types of fish are:
Stream trout – approximate weight 0.5-5 kg; maximum 10 kg;
Huchen-15-20 kg; maximum 40 kg;
Grayling- 0.3-2 kg;
We guarantee a good catch. 
Breakfast and lunch with national dishes are served on the coast of the river. Fish that was caught will also be prepared for lunch.
This arrangement includes:

Arrangement No 3
Fishing in the area of Durmitor National Park
This tour is a special experience because you will see some beautiful landscapes and flora of the National park. Fishing is allowed from 01.05. to 01.10 from 07 am to 07 pm according to fishing days and areas:
Destination 1 : Splavište-the bridge on Leveri, operating every Wednesday 
Destination 2: Lever Tara- Žugića luka- every Friday
Destination 3: Žugića luka-Tepački most- every Saturday
Destination 4: Tepački bridge-Badnjine- every Sunday
We will be meeting in the Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to the equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.

Fishing on Mrtvica

General information:
Wild nature and beautiful landscapes (the canyon is 8.5 km long, 1100 m deep), the confluents of the Morača and the Mrtvica river is an ideal place for fishing.
The most common types of fish are:
Stream trout – approximate weight 0.5-5 kg; maximum 10 kg;
Huchen-15-20 kg; maximum 40 kg;
Grayling- 0.3-2 kg;
Fishing on Mrtvica is allowed only with artificial baits.
Fishing is performed in two areas:
Arrangement No 1
Fishing prohibition- estuary of Mrtvica in Morača, 6 km long
This area begins on 39th km from Kolašin to the estuary of Mrtvica in Morača-Kaluđer`s bridge, 6 km long. The tour begins with a meeting our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
Fishing is allowed from 01.04.- 01.10 from 05am to 09pm, and only three fish is allowed to catch.
This arrangement includes:

Arrangement No2
Kaluđer`s bridge-Bijele nerine, 3 km long
This area is connected to the area of Kaluđer`s most to Bijele Nerine. The tour begins with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
There is a 5 fish per person maximum.
This area is known for stream trout.

Fishing on Morača

General information:
Morača canyon, 38 km long, 1050 m deep, is an extremely beautiful place due to its landscapes, flora and the erosion that has created it. Morača belongs to the Adriatic basin and offers an amazing experience. 
This river is rich with noble (Salmonidae family) types of fish: stream trout, grayling, huchen, and the special breed called marble trout.
The tour begins with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to their equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
Fishing on Morača is allowed only with artificial baits. 
Due to the long distance, transfer is organized with SUVs. It can be performed jointly with camping or jeep safari.

Fishing on Crno Lake

General information:
National park Durmitor is known for its number of glacier lakes.  Among Montenegrin people they are called `mountain eyes`. Apart from the beauty of the mountain itself, Crno Lake (big and small) portrays the beauty of the wild nature that leaves an unforgettable impression on every visitor. The lake is situated at an altitude of 1416-1442 meters. The tour begins with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to their equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
This lake is rich with trout (Californian, lake, stream, Arctic char).
Fishing is allowed only with artificial baits.
Fishing days are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 02-09 pm. Maximum catch is 4 trout.
Due to long distance, transfer is organized with SUVs. It can be performed jointly with camping or jeep safari.

Fisning on Biogradsko lake

General information:
National park Biogradska gora, 5650 ha, consists of a rainforest and a lake. The rainforest, with surface of 1600 ha is one of two remaining European rainforest, with 86 types of trees, of which 20% are endemic species of The Balkan Peninsula. Within the park is Biograd lake which is of glacier origin and known as the most beautiful lake in The Balkans.  It is situated at an of altitude of 1094 m, 1100 m long and 4.5 m deep. This lake is not just a beautiful and peaceful spot for fishing, but also a reserve of the beauty of the Earth itself and a pleasure for all 5 senses.
The lake is situated 18 km away from Kolašin. The tour begins with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to their equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
The lake is rich with trout (Californian, stream, Arctic char)
Fishing is allowed only with artificial baits.
Fishing is also allowed form 01.05.-22.06 in the period within 07am-07pm, and only in fishing days: Tuesday, Sunday and national holidays.
Only 4 trout per person are allowed.
This arrangement includes transfer with SUVs, but it can also be performed along with camping.

Fishing on Kapetanovo lake

 General information:
The lake is situated between Kolasin and Niksic, there are two main roads so the distance is either 80 or 120 km from Kolasin.  The beautiful rock landscapes around the lake accentuate it as an ornamante at an altitude of 1678 m.  The tour will begin with a meeting in our Explorer offices where visitors will be introduced to their equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
The lake is rich with trout (Californian, stream, Arctic char)
Fishing is allowed only with artificial baits.
Fishing is also allowed form 01.04.-01.10 and the time will be arranged with you individual guide. 
-Only 5 trout per person are allowed.

Fishing on Rikavacko lake

General information:
The lake is situated at the bottom of the Black mountain, between Prokletije and Komovi where the beautiful landscapes of rocky mountains are sure to catch your eye. The trip will begin with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide. The ride lasts 3 hours from Kolašin, so the road is partially a jeep safari. This transfer can be arranged as a camping excursion if you prefer.
The lake is rich with trout (stream trout and Arctic char).
Fishing is allowed only with artificial baits.
Fishing season is from 01.04.-01.10.  The specific time is arranged with your guide.
Only 5 trout are allowed per person.

Fishing on Ljuča lake

River Ljuča flows into Plavsko lake from the south side and is 16 km long. Plavsko Lake is situated on the north of Montenegro at an altitude of 950m, with a surface of 2 square kilometers at the bottom of the Prokletije Mountain. The beautiful rocky mountain landscapes together with a fishing adventure will make an unforgettable experience.
The trip will begin with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide. The ride lasts 1:30 from Kolašin, so the road is partially a jeep safari.   Start is at 6am and fishing lasts from 8-9 pm depending on the visitors’ wishes.  This can be accommodated as an overnight camping excursion if you so desire. 
River Ljuča is rich with:  Trout; huchen in the lower part of the river flow, and grayling in the estuary of the river.  The most common fish is big grayling-the biggest grayling in the world between 1 and 3 kg, and northern pike (1 - 15 kg) 
Fishing season is from 01.04.-01.10, the specific time is arranged with your guide.
Maximum catch is 5 fish of one type, or 1 fish of each species.
Fishing is allowed only with artificial baits.

Fishing on Plavsko lake

General information:
Plavsko lake is situated on the north of Montenegro at an altitude of 950m, with a surface of 2 square kilometers at the bottom of Prokletije mountain. Beautiful rocky mountain landscapes together with fishing adventures will make an unforgettable experience. The tour will begin with a meeting in our Explorer office where visitors will be introduced to the equipment and the tour itself (fish breeds, baits, fishing equipment). Transfer is organized with SUVs, and all visitors will be taken to the place previously arranged with the guide.
To reach this area takes a minimum of 1h 30min from Kolašin, so the trip is partially a jeep safari.
Start is at 6am and fishing lasts until 8 - 9 pm, depending on the wish of visitors. This arrangement can be organized as an overnight camping trip.
Fishing from the boat is a special experience.
Plavsko lake is rich with:
-trout (lake trout);
-huchen;
-catfish (small sized type, 5-6 kg);
-sneep (1 kg)
Fishing season is from 01.04.-01.10, and the specific start time is arranged with your guide.
Maximum catch is 5 fish of one type, or 1 fish of each species.
